Ceylon Empire Travel is a Destination Management Company (DMC) registered with Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority and organizes all the travel arrangements including accommodation and transportation facilities for the tourist according to their guidelines. The following terms and conditions should be followed for your booking.
Payment Policy for the Tour Confirmation
Your booking will be confirmed after paying the advance amount according to the final tour itinerary sent by us. Next you will receive the relevant tour confirmation voucher and receipt within 3 working days after the amount is credited to our company account.
For all bookings, the customer must pay an advance of 20% – 50%, which may vary depending on the time of your visit.
As soon as we receive the receipt for the payment, all hotel, transportation and related arrangements will be made by our company.
The balance amount related to the travel package should be paid in cash to our representative who will come to welcome you at the airport.
If you make a bank transfer, you must bear all related bank charges.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your booking by notifying the Tour Consultant.
The tour advance paid by you for arranging the tour is non-refundable as the booking cancellation fees for the respective hotels and all the documentation and service charges done in the Ceylon Empire Travels have to be paid.
The advance can be utilized again on any day you arrive, so try to postpone the trip as much as possible without canceling it.
The total cost of the tour package may change when you reschedule your tour.
We do not normally refund for early checkouts during the tour.
Like the pandemic situation we faced, if there is any unfortunate reason in the destination or the world which the tour cannot take place, Ceylon Empire Travels will be refunding 100% of your payment if cancelled within 21 days prior to arrival in Sri Lanka.
Changes in the Tour Itinerary
We finalize the tour package with you in a more flexible and desirable way. If changes are requested after confirmation of the travel package and after advance payment, the total amount may vary in relation to those changes. (No of days, no of people, arrival date, Hotels, Sightseeing tickets, transportation mode etc.)
Ceylon Empire Travels guarantees agreed accommodation for the tour package selected by the Client. Clients are provided with detailed information beforehand on selected hotels based on their package. Clients are requested to thoroughly research the selected hotels before confirming a booking. Once a booking has been confirmed, we will make reservations at hotels and these cannot be changed under any circumstance before or after the guest arrives in Sri Lanka. If, however, the guest insists on changing a hotel booking, Ceylon Empire Travels will try our best to arrange another hotel in the selected category; but that cost incurred will have to be undertaken by guests themselves.
Any changes made during the tour and applicable additional charges for services, if any, shall be payable.
Check List for Essentials
Check your flight times on receipt of your tickets carefully. Minor adjustments to flight times may be made by the airline after the issue of our Travel Voucher. We do not accept responsibility for these. It is your sole responsibility to inform us regarding the alterations made in your flight times. You should also ensure that your travel documents, passports, visas, driving license, insurance details and currencies are in order.
Force Majeure
The Tour Operator will not be liable in any way for death, bodily injury, illness, damage, delay or other loss or detriment to person or property, or financial costs both direct and indirect incurred, or for the Tour Operator failure to commence, perform or complete any duty owed to you if such death, delay, bodily injury (including emotional distress or injury), illness, damage or other loss or detriment to person or property is caused by Act of God, war or war like operations, mechanical breakdowns, terrorist activities or threat thereof, civil commotions, labor difficulties, interference by authorities, political disturbance, howsoever and where so ever any of the same may arise or be caused, riot, insurrection and government restraint, fire, extreme weather or any other cause whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Tour Operator; or an event which the Tour Operator or the Third Party Supplier of services, even with all due care, could not foresee any and all of which, individually and collectively, constitute “Force Majeure”.
Partial Bookings in the Tour
In the event of an itinerary only partially-booked by Ceylon Empire Travels, we cannot be held responsible for the failure of any component of the holiday for which it does not have direct responsibility. This includes any difficulty in finding hotels, or reservation of train tickets if customers choose to book accommodation-only deals and arrange their own transport.
Shopping
Ceylon Empire Travels never, under any circumstances, recommends or guarantees the value or the quality of any additional product not clearly itemized on the Travel Voucher and which may be purchased during an itinerary arranged in part or whole by Ceylon Empire Travels, even in the case where the product may have been discussed between a client and an employee or representative of Ceylon Empire Travels. Determining the value of a product is entirely the client’s responsibility. Ceylon Empire Travels has no duty to intervene in such circumstances.
Ceylon Empire Travel is not responsible for the quality, functionality, guarantee or warranty of any product you may purchase during your tour.
