We had a splendid 10 days holiday in Sri Lanka (nine nights) organized by Ceylon Empire Travel with agent Panchali Wijerathna. Thank you Panchali for your excellent planning and prompt communication, and an itinerary which was based on our interests and special wishes. Panchali’s selection of hotels was great which was not an easy tusk in high season on Srilanka, New Year time.
We really enjoyed our stays particularly at Earls Regent Hotel in Kandy (great infinity pool, bar, superb dinner) and Rockwall in Bentota (very cozy, boutique hotel, directly on a beautiful, gardens and amazing food, not to mention excellent professional staff. The whole team at Ceylon Empire Travels and Panchali in particular are very cheerful & happy people.
Last but not least I would like to thank especially to Rasheen, (nick name Jerry) our guide during the trip. It is really rare these days to meet such a “sunny”, responsible, well organized, friendly person like he is. Thank you Rasheen for your great driving skills, anyone who visited Srilanka or India knows what I’m referring to 😊. Time spend with you was a great lesson of country history, culture, habits and lots of jokes which helped us to make the distances quicker than they normally take. Thank you for your hospitality , these will remind us of the great time we had in Sri Lanka and we really appreciate a care received from you. . We had an absolutely wonderful two-week roundtrip in Sri Lanka during Christmas and New Year. Everything was perfectly planned from start to finish, and the journey exceeded our expectations in every way.

We have just returned from an incredible two-week tour of Sri Lanka organized by Ceylon Empire Travels. The experience to explore Sri Lanka with Ceylon Empire is really one of the best comparing to my previous travel experiences with other agency . We had a fantastic week in Sri Lanka in November 2025 thanks to Ceylon Empire Travels. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The hotels were excellent — clean, comfortable, and truly high-quality. The itinerary was well planned, allowing us to enjoy the stunning nature, beautiful landscapes, and the incredible wildlife Sri Lanka is famous for.
What impressed me most was the warm hospitality everywhere we went. The country is exceptionally clean, the people are kind and welcoming, and we felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire trip.

I had a brilliant solo trip with Ceylon Empire Travels. Nishadi planned my trip with great hotels and was very responsive to questions and requests. She checked in with me whilst I was on the tour to check everything was ok, and she’d also rung ahead to make sure each hotel knew about my dietary requirements which was really helpful.

Our family (two parents and two adult children) took a 15-day tour of Sri Lanka. The trip was fully customized in consultation with Yasassri of Ceylon Empire Travels: Negombo – Dambulla – Anuradhapura – Trincomalee – Polonnaruwa – Kandy – Nuwara Elia – Ella – Tissamaharama (Yala National Park) – Bentota – Colombo. It was a busy itinerary, but there were plenty of rest stops. Our driver, Priyantha, was an experienced, calm, yet decisive driver; the trip went very safely and smoothly. Priyantha helped us arrange our entrance tickets and established the right contacts for the safaris in Minneriya National Park, Trincomalee, Yala National Park, and Bentota. Thanks to the excellent service of both Yasassri and Priyantha, this wonderful, varied, and well-filled tour of beautiful Sri Lanka was very relaxing for all of us. Just came back from a 10-days tour of Sri Lanka, under a private tour organised by Ceylon Empire. Initially I did had some apprehensions – visiting a country that I was unfamiliar and with Ceylon Empire which I was also unfamiliar. But alas, all such hesitations/apprehensions proved unnecessary. This tour organised by Ms Satchethana (after understanding my requirements) was so meticulously planned that we (wife and I) really enjoyed the accomodations and places of interests planned. This coupled with a thoughtful and receptive guide/driver Mr Roshan who was always respectful of our needs made this private tour all the more enjoyable. Kudos to both Ms Sachethana and Mr Roshan.

If you are planning to travel to Colombo, I strongly recommend engaging with Miss Panchali, a tour consultant from Ceylon Empire Travels. As a Singaporean, I felt very well taken care of by my own country due to its safety and strict rules. I was initially skeptical about the tour. Miss Panchali provided me with the company’s profile and reviews from past customers, which helped build my confidence and trust in the experience.
My maid, my photographer, and I had a wonderful time in Sri Lanka. I choose Sri Lanka as my phtography stop. @michelle_lynlyn. Miss Panchali tailored the tour based on my budget and time constraints. One important note: Sri Lanka is generally a safe place for tourists, but I advise against wandering around the Red Mosque, as I noticed many refugees selling souvenirs in that area and they are very pushy. It’s best to take your photos and leave.
I ended up extending my trip for two more days to visit the museum, art gallery, and Red Fort, which are excellent sites for photography. Lastly, I recommend requesting Mr. Susantha as your driver. He knows the best places for good food and clean restrooms.

5 days, 4 nights – Unforgettable Sri Lanka tour with Ceylon Empire Travels
We recently (Feb 2025) had the pleasure of embarking on a 5 days, 4 nights tour with Ceylon Empire, exploring the destinations of Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Bentota in Sri Lanka. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of memorable adventure.
Airport: We were greeted by Isukira, Oshada and Sam. Sam being our driver and tour guide. Our first stop was at the elephant location in which we were able to walk, feed and observe them bathing. So cute!!!
Sigiriya: We marveled at the ancient rock fortress. The climb was invigorating, and the panoramic views from the top were absolutely worth it. We overnighted at the Aliya Resort & Spa. What a beautiful Hotel.
Kandy: Next, we traveled to Kandy, a city brimming with culture and charm. We overnighted at The Golden Crown. Huge rooms with great views of the rice paddy fields.
Nuwara Eliya: Our journey continued to the picturesque hill station of Nuwara Eliya. The lush tea plantations and cool climate provided a refreshing change of pace. We visited a tea factory and learned about the intricate process of tea production, followed by a delightful tasting session. We overnighted at The Golden Ridge. Such a pretty location! You will see the mountains and vegetables patties.
Bentota: Finally, we relaxed in the coastal town of Bentota. We overnighted on the Cinnamon Bey Beruwala. Our final hotel destination after leaving for the airport.
Just be aware of the distance between locations.. it take a long time to reach, and the roads are not your usual US highway… You will see tuk tuks, bicycles, pedestrians, etc…on the road. Sam was the man!! He kept us safe and on schedule. If we had the time, we would have spent 2 nights in each city.
Throughout the tour, Sam our driver ensured our comfort and satisfaction. The accommodation was top-notch, and the itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to experience the best of each destination. Sam was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our trip memorable.

We had a wonderful experience touring Sri Lanka, thanks to our dedicated team – Ms. Sachethana, our tour organizer, and Mr. Sam, our guide and driver. They both went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. Sri Lanka is an incredibly beautiful country, and the hospitality we received from Sachethana and Sam truly enhanced our visit.
Before booking, I would recommend discussing car type, space, and comfort with the team to get a clear idea of the costs and avoid any misunderstandings. While Sachethana was responsive and made sure our stays were special whenever possible (we loved the anniversary setup!), the itinerary doesn’t have much flexibility for rerouting. There were times where we decided to miss a stop or two, but later found that we couldn’t trade those stops for other things we’d have preferred to do—so be sure to communicate your preferences clearly in advance.
Sam, our driver, was knowledgeable and pleasant, offering great recommendations and capturing beautiful moments for us. We highly recommend both Sachethana and Sam, and wish them the best for future tours. You’re in safe and caring hands with them!
