About the Golden Temple Of Dambulla

Best Time To Visit

Ticket Fee
6 USD (2000 LKR) is the entrance fee for the Golden temple of Dambulla for each person. The entrance counter does not accept Visa or Debit cards so make sure to bring cash with you to pay on the spot.
You can find the ticket office at the base of the hill. You will be asked to remove your shoes before you enter the temple but don’t worry as there is a shoe rack to keep your shoes there for only 25-50 LKR. There is no Parking fee but make sure you don’t leave your valuable items in the car or tuk-tuk.

Temple timing: 7 AM to 7 PM.
Ticket counter timing: closes by 5 PM.
