About Gregory Lake

Location
Gregory Lake is located at the heart on Sri Lanka which you will find in the central highlands of the paradise island Sri Lanka. The city where this scenic recreational park is located is Nuwara Eliya, one of the most famous and top most visited destinations in Sri Lanka.
Gregory Lake is east accessible once you reach Nuwara Eliya as it located from a convenient distance from the city and as it is known as one of the central attractions in the destination you can comfortably reach their by public transports or by a tuk or a private transport.

The entrance fee that will be charged for Gregory Lake is very reasonable amount. For locals it would be about 200 in local currency which is less than 1 USD. And for foreign visitors the charges would be like 2 USD.
Also there are other charges would be applying depending on the recreational activities that you would like to enjoy in the Lake park.
Opening times
The opening times of Gregory lake are from 8.00 am morning to evening 6.00 pm everyday. Yet, it doesn’t really mean that you are not allowed to enter the premises but during these periods the park is officially opened to public and you can enjoy activities and the surrounding. And also the small vendors and also shops are opened to public on these timings.
Best time to visit
Gregory Lake can be introduced as a year around destination as you will be welcomed at any given time. But if you are really concerned about good weather then usually the best time of visiting Gregory Lake would be the period of February, March and April as the weather would be very much pensive and comfortable.
During these periods you can expect a moderate climate that is not so hot and also cold, but comfortable enough to walk around and having a good time.
